VALLEY FORGE, PA (ABNS 9/26/23)—American Baptist Women’s Ministries (ABWM) is proud to share the upcoming Shalom Retreat from October 6-8, 2023, in Euclid, Ohio. The retreat will be at the Restoration Ministries of Greater Cleveland, Inc., where Rev. Dr. Christine Smith, the national president, is the senior pastor. This impactful weekend will be an intergenerational experience with workshops designed for women, young adult women, and girls, with many opportunities to relax, reflect, and reconnect with themselves and God.

The weekend will kick off with a movie night on Friday and end with a worship service, Rev. Dr. Gina Jacobs-Strain will share the message at Restoration Ministries on Sunday morning.
The workshop lineup comprises experts, including Ania Norori, Director of Lilly Programs at The Ministers and Missionaries Benefit Board (MMBB), who will share insights on The Discipline of Saving: How to Achieve Your Financial Goals. Alisha Gilmore, CEO and Founder of Firm Foundations Counseling Agency, will provide insight into Mental Health and coping. Rev. Dr. Gina Jacobs-Strain, Executive Director of American Baptist Women’s Ministries, will explore the importance of Soul Care and Self Care.
During the retreat, AB GIRLS will enjoy an exciting lineup of activities designed especially for them. This includes an engaging Bible study session where they can discover their God-given talents while exploring the world of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics). In addition, there will be a fun marketing workshop to enhance their skills. They will learn that they are God’s masterpieces while creating masterpieces.
