KING OF PRUSSIA, PA (ABNS 10/10/24)—International Ministries urgently appeals for funds to provide disaster relief for the humanitarian crisis in Lebanon.
Lebanon is currently facing a severe humanitarian crisis following a series of intense airstrikes that have devastated multiple towns and regions. Over the course of just a few days, more than 1,000 people have lost their lives, with at least 6,300 injured. The violence has caused significant destruction, displacing over 1,000,000 people. These numbers of internally displaced persons add to the over 110,000 people already displaced from southern Lebanon. As the situation continues to escalate, public shelters are overwhelmed.
In response to this devastating situation, International Ministries (IM) partner MERATH is working tirelessly to provide critical aid to internally displaced people across Lebanon. MERATH, a key partner in disaster relief and long-term humanitarian support, is currently focused on supplying basic needs to the most vulnerable families affected by this crisis.
Conditions worsen daily, and displaced families’ needs are becoming more urgent. The colder months are approaching and many families may be displaced for months. The need for essential items like food, hygiene supplies, and blankets is growing.
International Ministries is calling for immediate support from individuals and churches to assist in providing relief to those displaced by the conflict. Donations will help fund vital supplies, including:
- Food packages
- Hygiene items
- Blankets and mattresses
- Warm clothing for the colder months ahead
Every contribution will make a difference in the lives of those suffering from this crisis. Financial gifts can be made by giving online or by sending checks directly to International Ministries. Please designate your contributions “OGHS–Lebanon Relief” in the memo line of your check.
Checks sent directly to International Ministries should be made payable to “International Ministries” and mailed to:
