VALLEY FORGE, PA (ABNS 9/28/23)—American Baptist Women’s Ministries (ABWM) is proud to present the Be Strong, Be Courageous 2023 Fall Webinar Series. This series of four live webinars will take place on Zoom beginning October 12, 2023, focusing on the new ministry theme Be Strong, Be Courageous. 

The first webinar is Be Strong! Be Courageous! Follow Examples God Gave Us! on Thursday, October 12, 2023, 8:30-9:30 PM EDT, with guest presenter Joyce Camp, a registered nurse. This webinar will explore how women of faith faced challenges with courage and strength and how individuals can learn from their examples.   

ABWM’s second webinar will be Leadership: Enjoying the Journey on Thursday, October 26, 2023, 8:30-9:30 PM EDT, with guest presenter Rev. Dr. Patricia Murphy, Ecclesiastical Endorser for Chaplaincy, American Baptist Home Mission Societies. This webinar will allow leaders who have experienced the ebbs and flows of leading God’s people to pause and consider what it means to continue to lead in times of constant change.   

The third webinar, The Power of Persistent Prayer will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2023, from 8:30-9:30 PM EST, will include guest presenter Lisa Murray, Vice President of Prayer of Baptist Women of North America (BWNA). This webinar will explore the power of prayer when individuals are persistent in prayer.  

The last webinar will be Finding Strength to Lead Using God’s Gifts on Thursday, November 30, 2023, from 8:30-9:30 PM EST, with guest presenter Jessie Bandaru, a dietary director in the healthcare and hospitality industry. This webinar will explore how to use ones gifts to lead and spread the word of Christ. 

ABWM executive director, Rev. Dr. Gina Jacobs-Strain, shared, “These webinars will explore our 2023-2025 Ministry Theme, Be Strong, Be Courageous, through the application of biblical text to leadership, serving, building our faith and resilience. We will talk about using our gifts and serving with joy and peace.”
