NEW YORK, NY (ABNS 9/15/21)—MMBB is offering emergency assistance to its members devastated by Hurricane Ida in Louisiana, Mississippi, and the Northeast — where many have lost homes, automobiles, personal belongings and have seen their livelihoods disrupted.
Due to the disastrous effects of Hurricane Ida, MMBB will make one $3,500 ministry support grant per member available to those eligible. This is part of MMBB’s outreach to members in times of distress. MMBB provides financial assistance through its non-contractual benefits program. On a case-by-case basis, MMBB gives limited tax-free emergency financial relief to ordained members and active lay members based on need.
If you are an MMBB member and find yourself struggling to purchase food, prescription drugs or medical services, make necessary home repairs, secure temporary lodging, or any other emerging needs because of Hurricane Ida, contact MMBB at 1-800-986-6222 to discuss ministry support grant eligibility. MMBB understands the need is great and helping its members during difficult times is a vital part of its ministry.
