VALLEY FORGE, PA (ABNS 10/10/18)—American Baptist Women’s Ministries invites applications from eligible young adult women to serve on the young adult women’s ministries advisory team. Applicants should be between 22 and 35 years of age (approximately), active members of an American Baptist church, and willing to give primary commitment to this national responsibility if chosen.
The young adult women’s ministries advisory team, formed in 2015, gives input and direction to AB Women’s Ministries initiatives for the young adult women’s audience. In past years, the advisory team has planned and led activities at national women’s events for young adult women, hosted Facebook Live Bible studies, and held webinars on leadership issues.
“We hope young women will prayerfully and enthusiastically commit to serving on the young adult women’s ministries advisory team, so that our ministry can be intentionally intergenerational which is beneficial for all that participate in American Baptist Women’s Ministries,” says Rev. Gina Jacobs-Strain, executive director of American Baptist Women’s Ministries. “We also want to connect with the spiritual pulse and priorities of young women so that AB Women’s Ministries remains relevant and continues to enable young adult women to be fully empowered to be the person God is calling each of them to be in their churches, communities, and careers.”
The deadline for applications is October 31, 2018. For a downloadable application form or the link to submit an application online, visit the AB Women’s Ministries website at www.abwomensministries.org (click on Ministries\Ministries with Young Adult Women), or contact the AB Women’s Ministries office at (610) 768-2288 or info@abwomensministries.org.
