Remembering Mentor Desiree Grogan
By Rev. Alice Greene, Washington, DC
She was the first woman to be ordained at Shiloh Baptist Church in Washington, D.C. She helped me realize what was happening with my life.
Rev. Desiree Grogan was teaching a popular class on the Book of Revelation. When I took the class I felt like I was finally being fed. She related the texts to other scriptures and gave us applications to take home with us. She was a wonderful preacher and teacher. Relating to her, it finally began to become clear that God really did want me in the ministry. I will be forever grateful to her.
