A long and often painful political campaign season has come to an end. American Baptists have been as divided politically as the country. But, thankfully, we continue to be united in our faith in God and our commitment to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus. Let’s reach out to celebrants and mourners in these days following the election with healing and hope as we move forward.

Let us pray for our President-elect and all who won election or re-election in every part of our country.

Let us pray for those whose dreams suffered a set-back.

Let us renew our commitment to working together as a family of faith whatever the joys or sorrows we encounter along the way.
