VALLEY FORGE, PA (ABNS 2/28/11)—American Baptist Women’s Ministries will host its biennial Women’s Day, “Exaltadas en el poder de Dios/Uplifted by the Potter’s Hands,” on Friday, June 24th, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at the Centro de Convenciones de Puerto Rico, immediately preceding the Biennial meetings of American Baptist Churches USA. Bible study leader Rev. Yamina Apolinaris, executive director of Corporación Milagros del Amor, will teach and inspire attendees through a bilingual exploration of Jeremiah 18:6b.
Other highlights of the day will be celebrations of the 60th birthday of American Baptist Women’s Ministries, the culmination of the 2009-2011 endowment campaign, and the national mission project, “Break the Chains and Stop the Pain.” AB GIRLS of Puerto Rico will participate in worship, and Love Gift will be received.
