RIPLEY, WV (ABNS 8/2/16)—The American Baptist Men USA National Board, during its annual
meeting at Moses Merrill Camp and Conference Center, Linwood, Neb., ratified the selection of
Kenna “Lucky” Ray to the position of Executive Director, ABMen USA. The appointment had
previously been made by its Executive Committee.
Lucky brings a wealth of spiritual and practical leadership experience to this position;
having served as President of the Kanawha Valley, West Virginia Association of ABMen,
President of the ABMen of West Virginia, and is a Past President of ABMen USA. In addition,
Lucky has served a myriad of leadership positions in Bethel Baptist Church, South Charleston in
the Kanawha Valley Association of West Virginia Baptist, and on the West Virginia Baptist
Convention Commissions, as well as Executive and General Boards. Lucky also serves as the
Treasurer of the Baptist World Alliance – Men’s Department ministry. He has been a
lifelong member of the Bethel Baptist Church of South Charleston, W.Va.
While serving in each of these leadership positions, Lucky demonstrated a unique ability
not only to strategically plan ministry activities, but to excite those around him about the men’s
ministry vision and seeing events, missions and other ministry activities to fruition.
