American Baptist Women’s Ministries Launches New Website

VALLEY FORGE, PA (ABNS – 7/17/09)—American Baptist Women’s Ministries has updated its website at www.abwministries.org with a new look and new features to better serve ministries with women and girls in American Baptist churches.

“The new website is an excellent resource for women and girls in American Baptist congregations, and for leaders of ministries with women and girls,” said Virginia Holmstrom, executive director of AB Women’s Ministries.

“With new technologies available now, and the changing needs of ministry with women and girls, the new website offers a fresh look with a continued emphasis on mission, faith development, and community.”

The first website of the organization was launched in 2002. AB Women’s Ministries also created a special website for the two-year national mission project, “Break the Chains: Slavery in the 21st Century,” in 2007, at www.abwmbreakthchains.org.

The Break the Chains website continues to be a popular source of information on human trafficking and will remain a part of AB Women’s Ministries available resources long after the national mission project is completed.

American Baptist Churches is one of the most diverse Christian denominations today, with 5,500 local congregations comprised of 1.3 million members across the United States and Puerto Rico, all engaged in God’s mission around the world.
